Garmaryga expands its Ultra-light Line, free of metal components

Garmaryga, safety footwear manufacturer certified by ISO Quality (9001:2000) and Environment (14001) standards, has added new models to its Ultra-light line, which already included, among others, the references 6500, 6600 (class S3 .) The new proposals are:
-Model 6740 (S3). Waterproof suede split leather shoe with gray waterproof Cordura, reinforced PVC toecap and PVC eyelets.
-Model 6800 (S3). Nobuck short shank boot, in a black-brown colour combination, with waterproof black Cordura, toecap and eyelets of PVC.
-Model 6850-S3. Black nobuck short shank boot, greased and waterproof, with waterproof black Cordura, PVC toecap and reflective tape to increase visibility in low light conditions.
The common features across the range are certified by the UNE EN ISO 20345, Class S3: their toecap resists impacts of 200 Joules and compression of 15 kN, the outsole is made of bi-density injected PU, with anti-static properties, shock absorbent system of kinetic energy in the heel, slip-resistant pattern, resistant to contact with oils and hydrocarbons, penetration resistant. The leather body withstands penetration and water absorption (WRU). All models have anti-perforating textile insoles and thermo-formed TDR insoles.
TDR® technical insoles (developed by Morón) are specifically designed to safety shoes. Breathable and absorbent, they increase foot comfort. Because of its anatomical and thermo-formed shape, they offer great cushioning and maintain body temperature. TDR insole brings together the benefits of transpiration, absorption and moisture evacuation, anti-bacterial finishing and anatomic thermo-shaping, while ensuring maximum durability and resistance to abrasion. They are also bio-degradable.
Antiperforation TDR insoles, made up by multiple layers of fabric stuck together by a special technique, reach the resistance that until recently was only achieved by using steel insoles, increasing the footwear lightness and comfort. These insoles are certified products, which exceed the requirements of the European EN 12568 for safety shoes, and that substitute advantageously the heavy steel insoles for a more flexible, lightweight and breathable material.
